Music for Memories
Last week we had Curly the Busker who stood in at short notice and really entertained us with 40s,50s and 60s medleys.

Good news, at a Committee Meeting on Tuesday 24th
August we decided that we would restart the Butterfly Café and Music, it has
been such a long time and we all need to get some normality back into our
lives. We will take every precaution to safe guard all present and take note of
all the advice that has been given to us by the Government regarding Covid-19.
The volunteers will where ever possible carry out ‘lateral
flow tests’ prior to the Butterfly Café and Music Group and wear masks when not
eating or drinking. There will be social distancing applied and we will
endeavour to get good ventilation into the room. Every person attending
including the volunteers must have had the two vaccines.
I have enclosed the programme which gives you all the dates
for the Butterfly Café and Music up to December 21. It will be so lovely to see
you all, it has been a long while and because of this, will mean so much. Please
let us know if you are able to attend, it would be helpful.
If you have any queries, please let us know.
We look forward to seeing you all.

The Avon Valley Dementia Support committee met today at the Victoria Rooms. Foremost on the agenda was, "When can the Butterfly Cafe and the music sessions start up again?" The committee considered that, at the moment, using masks and social distancing, the Cafe would not be suitable for many of our clients. And that the music groups would be very difficult to run safely. However we shall discuss the matter of music sessions with Andrew Knights.
It is hoped that we might be able to recommence our activities in the New Year.
